Spotless place with breathtaking view of the sea. Favourable and stunning location for our visit to a coastal zoo not very far from the hotel. Such beautiful area really close to a very pleasant restaurant as well as the nearby marina. Very attentive and reasonably good people working here, warm breakfast❤

Dignified old Grandhotel with very friendly staff! Very nice sea view, white tablecloths and competent service
The room was rather a single room and completely unsuitable for two persons! Bathroom and rooms urgently need to be renovated!

The room was well-maintained and pet-friendly with a lovely view, working central heating and a balcony, had a good night's sleep. The hotel was in the centre of Torquay. Besides, it was a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, that worked for us.

The friendliness of the entire staff, always beautiful view of the bay and the traditional English breakfast.
In contrast to last year, the room was much more expensive, despite the same category. With a price difference of 400€ it is not insignificant, just because it was also smaller than last year.

Very beautiful location with a beautiful view of the sea. The Imperial Hotel, like Torquay, has a certain grandeur and you notice that. Large reception room, parking, terrace, bar and dining room.
Internal communication could be better. And you have to pay for parking.

A very relaxed atmosphere, we were upgraded to a suite upon our arrival, however, the patio doors onto the balcony were locked and were not allowed to be opened for maintainence reasons, this was very disappointing and made the room at time over bearing in regard to heat and no fresh air. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and the room was spotless
We decided to eat in the restaurant on our last evening, which was disappointing, whilst some element of the meal were enjoyable, others let it down. Such a shame, as with limited tweeking, the experience could have been much more enjoyable.

This is a lovely, welcoming hotel. The location is just fantastic with stunning views overlooking the bay, from the resturant.Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was well presented and cooked perfectly.,although did not eat an evening meal here. The location is great also,as a short walk leads to the harbour with some lovely resturants, and shops. We will definately be returning in the near future. This was excellent value for money.!!!
Our room was spotlessly clean, and an adequate size, although the bathroom was a little on the small side.with a loose plastic toilet seat!. There was a large stain on the ceiling which needs decorating. These are very picky points but I think it is worth noting.Room no: 435 which overlooks the car park.

Quality of the furnishings. Room with a view. Good restaurant.
We had a garden room which was small. We had hoped for a room with a balcony.

Attentive staff in bar and excellent bar food.
Poor internet facility. Wasn't working when I arrived and even when fixed, couldn't access internet in my room. Grateful for voucher.Fire alarm went off unexpectedly (false alarm caused by someone spraying deodorant in a bathroom apparently). Overly-sensitive system which I understand also reacts to bathroom steam. The alarm was actually deafening.
